The MPX 2010 is a lossless polarization controller and scrambler, specifically designed for manufacturing test applications, offering a polarization scrambling speed of up to 40,000 SOPs/second.
Featuring an all-fibre design with ultra-low Insertion Loss (IL), Polarization Dependent Loss (PDL), and Polarization Mode Dispersion (PMD), the MPX 2010 delivers precise control over polarization for a wide range of applications. These include SOP variation emulation, circulating loop studies, PDL measurement, and system polarization assessments.
Thanks to its all-fibre construction, the MPX 2010 platform supports a broad range of wavelengths across the O, C, and L bands (1260-1620 nm) in a single unit, while handling high power levels of up to 1 Watt. An additional version is also available, designed to cover polarization control requirements over the 980-1310 nm wavelength range.
The MPX 2010 replaces the legacy MPC-201 instrument, offering improved performance in a compact design, making it ideal for integration into manufacturing test environments.
Applications:
- SOP variation emulation
- Polarization scrambling
- Polarization sensitivity mitigation
- Circulating loop studies
- PDL/DOP measurements
- System polarization studies
