The LUNA MPC-203 is a High Speed Multifunction Polarization Controller specially designed to meet the high SOP scrambling requirements needed for stress testing a coherent receiver’s polarisation tracking performance. It combines General Photonics’ award winning PolaRite™ II/III polarisation controller with proprietary polarisation control algorithms to achieve a wide range of polarisation control functionalities, including high speed polarisation scrambling with a maximum SOP change rate of up to 11 Mrad/s. Unlike other high speed polarisation scramblers found in the market, this all-fibre, pass-through design ensures low IL, PDL, PMD and activation loss.
