LUNA Mode Conditioners
Mode conditioner cables allowing analysis of multimode fibre optic networks with LUNA OBR’s. Either 62.5µm (OM1) or 50µm (OM2/3/4) fibre with a choice of FC/PC, SC/PC, LC/PC or ST/PC connector.
Mode Conditioners enable Luna’s Optical Backscatter Reflectometer (OBR) products to better locate and analyse faults in multimode fibre. Luna’s OBR’s have a single-mode FC/APC front panel connection. These Mode Conditioners redistribute a portion of light from the fundamental propagation mode in multimode fibre into several higher order modes making the OBR system more sensitive to faults that affect these modes such as tight bends, bad splices and cladding defects.
- Redistribute light from the fundamental mode to higher order modes
- 50/125 μm (OM1) and 62.5/125 μm (OM2, OM3, OM4) standard fibres
- Available with either FC/PC, SC/PC, LC/PC and ST/PC connector
