Acousto Optic Frequency Shifters (AOFS)

Acousto Optic Frequency Shifters (AOFS)
An Acousto-Optic Frequency Shifter (AOFS) is a device that modifies the frequency of the optical beam via the Doppler effect. The acoustic wave travelling through the device’s crystal causes the frequency of the beam to increase or decrease in proportion to the RF driving frequency.
